Dr. Kristin Van Heertum is proud to join Nashville Fertility Center

Kristin Van Heertum MDThe Nashville Fertility Center is thrilled to give a warm welcome to Dr. Kristin Van Heertum MD, the newest member of our Nashville fertility clinic. Her desire to raise her family in a warm and friendly environment brought her to the Nashville area, while the Nashville Fertility Center team made her want to practice medicine here.

“The team at Nashville Fertility Center really impressed me. Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable. It made me realize that this is where I want to practice reproductive medicine,” she explains.

Dr. Kristin Van Heertum – A look at her background

Dr. Kristin Van Heertum attended Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia to earn her medical degree. After that, she completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health in Abington, Pennsylvania. Before joining our Nashville fertility clinic, she completed a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University.

During her extensive training in reproductive medicine, Dr. Van Heertum learned the myriad diagnostic and treatment complexities in infertility. Additionally, she is trained in the latest modern surgical techniques, including robotic and minimally invasive fertility surgery. She also has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her research at a number of national meetings.

A compassionate approach to patient care

Looking back, Dr. Van Heertum had interests in many different areas of medicine. However, she found her true calling and passion in the field of fertility “As a fertility doctor, I can develop close and meaningful relationships with my patients. My job allows me to do the life-changing work of helping patients build families.”

Dr. Kristin Van Heertum believes that each patient deserves compassionate care and a comprehensive treatment plan that will maximize their chance of bringing home a baby. “I view each patient as a unique individual, not a fertility diagnosis. Each of my fertility treatment plans addresses a patient’s unique physical, emotional and financial needs.”

Contact us to schedule an appointment at our Nashville fertility clinic and meet Dr. Van Heertum. She and our entire team look forward to helping you on your fertility journey.
