Get to Know Meredith Humphreys MD

All of us at Nashville Fertility Center are excited to welcome our newest physician, Meredith Humphreys MD. Not only is Dr. Humphreys a highly skilled reproductive endocrinologist, she brings a warm and compassionate approach and a strong commitment to helping every patient reach their goals.

Meredith Humphreys MD is a highly trained reproductive endocrinologist

Dr. Humphreys joined our Nashville fertility center in October 2023 after moving to Tennessee from Utah, where she completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Utah.

She earned her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, following in her father’s footsteps to pursue a career in the medical field. Among her childhood memories, she fondly remembers following her dad on his rounds at the hospital on weekend mornings and playing catch with his post-op patients using an inflated exam glove.

“I started out studying psychology and communications, and realized my passion was physically helping people,” she says. “I decided this could be best served by attending medical school, so I applied and was lucky to be accepted. Infertility really drew me in because the patient population is this incredible group of people who are in a vulnerable stage of their life and come to you for help. It’s a way to concretely help people, and the science is amazing. The field continues to grow and change every day.”

Passionate about helping people grow families

In working with patients at Nashville Fertility Center, Meredith Humphreys MD employs the most advanced technologies and latest research to help people achieve their goals. She gets especially excited about sharing in patients’ successes while helping them grow their families through IVF, fertility preservation, third-party reproduction and other assisted reproductive technologies.

“My favorite part of working with people who come for help with infertility is that lightbulb that goes on when you explain what could have been going on up to this point and what we can do about it,” she says. “Although we may not always come up with an answer, there is always something more we can try or do because this field is always expanding.”

Meredith Humphreys MD enthusiastically welcomes people from all walks of life who need help to grow their families. She feels honored to walk alongside the men and women who come to her for help on their own unique paths to parenthood.

Away from the office, Dr. Humphreys loves to cook and host meals for family and friends. She proudly embraces her role as the “cool aunt” to her nieces and nephew, and as mom to her beloved dog, Poppy. Dr. Humphreys stays active playing volleyball and relaxes by immersing herself in a good book, often sharing it with the book club she recently founded.

The entire Nashville Fertility Center team is excited to have Dr. Humphreys on board, and we know you will enjoy meeting her, too. To schedule an appointment with Meredith Humphreys MD, who sees patients in our Nashville office, contact us today.
