Dr. Humphreys’ special areas of interest include IVF, reproductive endocrine disorders, recurrent pregnancy loss, fertility preservation through egg freezing, and genetic testing to help grow healthy families. Passionate about patient autonomy, she focuses on ethical considerations around family planning, as well as on educating her patients to make well-informed decisions about their fertility diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Humphreys earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, then completed the post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, followed by earning her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine.
Following her passion for helping people grow their families, she then went on to the University of Utah, where she completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency, served as a visiting instructor, earned the school’s Outstanding Resident Award, and received the Women in Medicine Resident Recognition award for three consecutive years. To become a highly trained fertility specialist, she also completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Utah.
Dr. Humphreys is an active researcher in the field of reproductive endocrinology and has presented several collaborative research studies at high-profile medical conferences. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, for which she has served in several leadership roles, as well as the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and Society of Reproductive Investigation. Staying up to date on current practices and advancing the field remain priorities to Dr. Humphreys as she enters her clinical practice.
