Your guide to getting started with fertility treatment at Nashville Fertility Center
The thought of getting started with fertility treatment can be both exciting and overwhelming. At Nashville Fertility Center, our goal is to answer your questions and give you peace of mind on your path to parenthood. To help make your journey a little easier, our Nashville fertility clinic has developed this guide for new patients.
What you need to know about getting started with fertility treatment
If you need a little help to achieve your family-building goals, your first step is to contact our Nashville fertility clinic. Our friendly office staff will help you schedule and prepare for your first fertility appointment.
In addition to finding a convenient appointment time for you, our staff will collect your insurance information. Using this information, they will verify your insurance benefits. Additionally, our team will send you new patient forms to complete before your visit.
On the day of your first fertility appointment, you and your partner (if you have one) will meet with one of our experienced and caring fertility doctors. During your visit, you and your doctor will talk about your medical history and family-building goals.
If you need help conceiving, your doctor will work to find out why by performing a physical exam and a transvaginal ultrasound. As part of getting started with fertility treatment, your doctor will also order bloodwork.
If you want to learn more about your fertility, your doctor will ask about your future family-building goals and then order fertility testing.
At the end of your visit, a medical assistant will help you check out. This team member will review your doctor’s recommendations and let you know the next steps. The medical assistant will also give you all the paperwork and contact information you need to get started.
